I was originally a journalism major before becoming an English major in college. I have my B.A. in English from Antioch University Santa Barbara, CA where I was also on the student newspaper staff and editor of the Odyssey back in the day.

I have always been a writer and I am someone who is enthralled with the human condition in general. I love to read and read on and off all day. I am always on top of current events and happenings in the world. I write every day at my current job and enjoy it because I get to share my voice and hope that it helps someone or makes someone laugh. I like the idea of being able to share with others through articles and stories and really connect to someone. I love brainstorming and coming up with great ideas. I am a creative person, it is what I do, it is who I am.

I have attended and written for the Santa Barbara’s Writers Conference the last six years for the poetry division.

I have attended the Culinary Arts Program at SBCC and taken multiple courses in nutrition, which led to the opportunities at Martha Stewart’s Whole Living online community, guest writing on other health and cooking sites, and at my current job where I write and edit for a non-profit, the Adelle Davis Foundation.

I have worked at the biggest commercial real estate office in Santa Barbara doing their PR and marketing and I wrote press releases that would go out to all of the major newspapers as well as the Pacific Coast Business Times. I currently write for Presidio Sports. I have written and published press releases for Hayes Commercial Group about new business/restaurants/ shops opening around Santa Barbara. I also have a Santa Barbara Web Design services company and have created and built out multiple websites for local and nationwide companies and brands.
